Phil and I went to see Michael Spicer tonight - he bought me the tickets for Christmas. Had a walk down and back, enjoyed the show, laughed a lot. You know we've had THREE evenings out together so far this year? That's more than we'd had in the previous five years put together 🥰

A week and a half at the new school for eldest, and today was the first day his teacher caught me at pick up. It was to tell me he's settled in a treat, gives everything a go, has some great craic, and is giving school his all. I'd forgotten what praise for him felt like 😭

Well, a nice ending to a very difficult week. BOTH my boys won Star of the Week at school ❤️ First full week at his new school for eldest, and he won for 'excellent work in all subjects'. Littlest for good Maths work. A nice start to a hopefully peaceful weekend.

10yo starts his new school on Monday. He's going in for individual lessons on Thursday and Friday. I should be so happy that it's finally sorted, but I just want to cry. Three solid months I've been trying to sort this. And what if things are no better for him there than his previous place?
