looking at old art now that bad brain moment ended it's not that I've regressed, It's a combination of plateau-ing, I'm not improving as fast as from 2020 to 23 + making less complicated art that made me think that best artwork of 2020 vs average artwork of 2023, 4 and unfinished doodled from 2025

It created a mental block, I can't even do my commissions I've restarted one several times before i decided I'll just reimburse the client and let them i can't draw lately sorry which is why i wanted to stop posting art online for a while but it doesn't really help, i still judge myself a lot

i have to draw something that social media will like (but social media success is often random, if i fail it means I'm garbage) I'm stuck in "I want to get as good as those i admire but i also want big numbers fast to feel good about what's missing in my life, trainings don't get me those numbers"

bluesky is more chill and mature than twitter so I can say things I would stfu about on twitter I think I found the reason for my art block I'm never art blocked at work. I have a structure, success is basically "my producer and art director like what i did, the 3D artists didn't come complain"
