i feel the same. sometimes i feel weird about having these opinions because it really makes me look like i don’t like umamusume, but i do! i just like very specific aspects of it and regard the rest of it as “oh that’s just gacha game stuff”

I love this franchise regardless of the game and its issues ofc. But I don’t think there should be any debate that there needs to be regulation for this kinda gaming, shit economy or not. If we can tell Sony to stick it up their ass, then we can do this for other type of games and companies.

I guess it does make sense. A game about a sport with centuries of gambling all rounded up into a modern day product where the thing you gamble on (horse) becomes the thing you receive in exchange for money, but now look! Anime girl with back breaking booba! (Literally Taiki shuttle)

I just wish we wouldn’t give these games a pass as much. Free to play doesn’t mean I should have to pay so much to even get stuff. Like I said, with regulation and adoption of better ideas, gacha games and other similar types can work. And UPD is def the worst. Trying to get anything is horrible

I’m down for games like these with the proper regulation and not being monetized to death. I’d love to see Umamsume as a proper game without the whole gambling thing. Characters can be unlocked through missions but without grinding to death. You can easily make it work without da gamblin
