I know that voting is annoying and inconvenient and can cause moral crisis. But it’s still better to vote because if you don’t make a choice between the options, it’s a version of assistance to the worst option. It helps them mathematically. I believe voting is an affirmative Duty of a citizen.

once i worked at a fast food place. almost every day, a guy would come in, with paper and pencils. he'd draw a loopy abstract scribble on a page and then color it in. drinking coffee and sitting at a table for hours, coloring these intricate designs. I wonder whatever happened to him.

the staff knew not to trouble him. he just kept to himself, ordered coffee, and colored these mandala-like designs on paper all day. i think about that guy sometimes.
