It breaks down when there are disingenuous cliques & steamrolling of meetings/votes—NYC-DSA def seems to have had consistently better institutional culture than the Chicago DSA chapter in the past. I was very eager to participate in the process and being a delegate was interesting. :)

Say what you want and there's always stuff to say, the org allows its members to weigh in at multiple levels. It's small d democracy and this is not happening in many other places in the U.S. lefts right now.

Dan Ryan's posting video of himself saying the "Fair Share Tax" (which would lower taxes for most businesses) would "devastate" Portland's economy. This guy is insufferable in his advocacy for the billionaire class and large corporations that funnel money out of Portland.
