These figures are deeply concerning & highlight the urgent need for better access to treatment & support for those struggling with alcohol dependency. No one should be left without help when they need it most. The Gov must take action to ensure services are properly funded & accessible to all.

The figures also show 4,022 people died while in treatment, a 3% fall on the year before. @turningpoint-uk.bsky.social said the rise in people accessing treatment is a "positive step forward". But they added more must be done to tackle stigma and barriers people face in accessing treatment.
