I’d work into my 70s. I love my job but it isn’t physically demanding. I’m self employed but I see my friends/family struggle after a layoff. Ageism is real. I’m not sure how we ask ppl to work into their 80s when a 50yo is aging out of the market. Some draw ss for 3 decades-longer than some worked
Show PostI'm not sure it's Bluski liberals who are complaining. It would essentially be a tax on the wealthy to improve the viability of SS. The hard-core right might hate it.
Show PostI am on tom's side on this one. There should be a cap on social security. If you don't need it, you don't need it. One of those ask not what your country can do for you, kinda things.
Show PostAnd I'm sorry you find BS exhausting. I enjoy your take on things and hope you don't leave. Ignorance lives in both parties. Please don't take the opinions of the few as a measure of the whole. And yes, people above a certain income level should not qualify for SS. I want to retire with dignity.
Show PostAdmit it! You love BlueSky 🤣 Bluesky is like your very good friend who annoys you by talking politics at his dinner parties. He is exhausting! But you like him so much, you keep going back to his absolutely fabulous dinner parties, again and again and again
