Fixed a #hamradio this afternoon. Picked up this Yaesu FT-2500M 2-meter mobile at the hamfest - a really solid rig but it was staticy and weird on scan but not when parked on a channel. I guessed the PLL was losing lock, went in, performed these alignment steps and it's got another 20 years left now

The RTL SDR Dongle came in and after a small fight with the laptop in the form of modifying a windows dll file so that windows would properly communicate with the SDR and the addition of a .bat file SSDSHARP and Satdump are up and running along with some ADS-B software. #radio #ham #rf #sdr #adsb

Well, there's Tuvalu in the logs, 7,000 miles on 15m FT8 on the fishing pole antenna in my living room. Absolutely tickled at what ham radio can do.
