The last (two, I think) Harry Potter books were like that, and that was way before I knew about Rowling being a downright cartoonish evil villain herself. It just felt so twisted and horrible, but I still couldn't stop reading.

Äsometimes I dnf books that I find interesting, but that still has nothing that keeps me reading. Then there are books that just, piss me off. And yet I keep reading and hating every second of it and feeling as I gained nothing.
