My Federalist law school classmates have tried to convince me that Jan was a “straight balls and strikes” reporter akin to Lyle Deniston over the last decade. She is not. She isn’t even a principled Federalist. If she were, she’d be standing shoulder-to-shoulder with Judge Luttig. She’s a hack.
