We are starting to get a decent amount of early vote in across the country, and while it is still very early there are a few states where Dems are performing really well. All data that follows comes from the TargetEarly site, modeled party, Dem and GOP share of the early vote (updated) 1/

Most of the 2026 early voters in NC voted in 2024, but about 10k of them did not. White voters account for 66% of those 2024/2026 voters, but only 53% of the non-2024 voters (a long way of saying the new voters in NC are disproportionately voters of color).

Black voters are turning out in huge numbers in NC. Interestingly, the biggest increases in turnout are coming from younger voters.

Similar to NC, the biggest share increases in vote share among Black voters has come from younger voters. (we can compare to 2022 here because there are no coverage issues)
