Thucydides once said that "Peace is only an armistice in an endless war" while Heraclitus said that "War is father of all". Both (male) philosophers perfectly described the patriarchy which dominates through brute force. But the most absurd thing they did is to suggest that there is no alternative.

We both kept our names but hers goes first on everything now. Checks. Credit cards. Etc. One of our favorite things is how cranky my father gets when he sees our initials on the mantle. "They're backwards." "No dad, they're not." 😆😂😆😂
