hard to believe that a year ago almost no one was doing agentic coding at all. I remember being ooh and awe'd at a conference last June where they were vibecoding with cline.

As a security professional I'm bewildered by MCP - sure it is versatile. But to put AI agents into production in a controlled environment that's the antithesis of what we want. We want the control an API offers. And vibe coding APIs is easy so the additional friction over MCP is negligible.
