I'm only second guessing here, but I think the only reason the haven't pulled the plug on Alain Pardiue is the lack of stand out candidates currently free and willing to come to us. Will be delighted if he shores us up and turns it around, but I just can't see it.

Khalaili doesn’t seem to have a defensive bone in his body. Wingers skip past him, distances are all off. It’s a massive weak area in the 11. He’s young and that stuff can be taught. I think Mingueza is the choice there or potentially even Sarr! Khalaili needs to play off the bench.

Yeah, he’s good going forward. Makes great runs inside defenders and he’s scored and assisted. But his defensive work is awful. It’s just so bad. Leaves the RCB needing to do two jobs and it gets passed on and on. I know Mingueza wasn’t great against Lyon, but his shape is so much more developed.
