Exciting times at Clifford hill GP when I discovered the first American passerine for Northants, American Buff-bellied Pipit, as something about this pipit looked strange. Probably my best bird find ever. Many happy birders today. Jack snipe was in the same area. #northantsbirds #ukbirding #PWC2026

Another decent day in the St Ives 20k area. Short-eared Owl in off, a late Redstart and a Red Kite at Trewey, another Hen Harrier and a rather tame Snow Bunting up Buttermilk Hill. #cornwallbirding

The last 4 days I spent 8 hours at Lower Moors #Scilly trying to photo the key features of Wilson's Snipe without it once spreading its tail or wings! So relieved that someone else managed it. A very striking monochromatic bird that convinced straight away. ID notes in alt #ukbirding #birds
