What a fantastic event ... and huge credit to the Goon Show Preservation Society, close your eyes and it could have been the original cast back in the room!

Thank you to everyone involved in the Goon Show 75th birthday event today. That was utterly joyous, silly and wonderful. And in today's world silly and joyous can feel in short supply. Wonderful voice actors, perfect musicians and wonderfully put together.

Well this was a lovely event and I feel I got a taste of what it was like to be in the audience at a Goon Show recording.

At York University this afternoon to see/hear, as part of 75th anniversary of The Goon Show, a reenactment of two script recordings of the show. The three main actors were perfect with voices and mannerisms. A really enjoyable event.
