i keep getting ads for "reliable high-speed internet" from starlink today, and after what happened in ukraine earlier this week, "reliable" and "high-speed" both feel heavily ironic.

this has been the busiest year of my career and honestly a mentally exhausting one. in april we fostered a black german shepherd. by june he was ours. then on a random walk he found a tiny orange kitten. now they’re inseparable. if these two can figure it out, so can we humans.
