Well put. Sequencing is where much of the value hides: which accounts are drawn first, how withdrawals fit within the tax brackets each year, and when Social Security begins can change lifetime taxes meaningfully, even with the same savings.

You have to find a balance of the style you want and good UX design. Typically for something like this, I would use a slider, but I just think the plus minus button is just so much more aesthetic for the app I have. Instead on constantly tapping, allow them to hold down to change the goal quickly.
