I draw comic books and illustrate stuff and write words and take pictures and design things graphically and sometimes people actually pay me to do it. I live near Santa Cruz, California, home of Lost Boys, Killer Klowns, banana slugs, and Mystery Spots.

Seemed like they all had fun making it. The ending made me a little sad, seeing as the villain is only 13 years old. Fun post credits scene. 4 stars. @jonbeanhastings.bsky.social
Show PostSo it's "The Fly" but with cicadas. It wasn't bad. The kid who played the monster did a good job. He really channeled his Dr. Shaun Murphy meltdowns. Lots of "Star Trek" actors, including Dr Carol Marcus and her boobs. Cool slimy rubber bug suit. 4 stars @jonbeanhastings.bsky.social recommended!
Show PostThis was wonderful. Loved it. 4.5 stars @jonbeanhastings.bsky.social recommended!
Show PostFun, funny, snappy dialogue. Completely unreasonable over-the-top monster. Amazing soundtrack! I enjoyed everything about this movie, except no boobs. 4.5 stars @jonbeanhastings.bsky.social very highly recommended!
