Also, the integration of bike-share systems between the different towns around Montreal (there are Bixi stations in Laval and Longueuil) shows that this is fully achievable without amalgamation. Clueless municipal behaviour is the problem here. And this is NEVER solved by amalgamation.

Im just gonna assume if you live in the periphery, you more likely need to own a bike for it to be useful, vs where I live dt & can just hop on/hop off every few blocks, which again just speaks to the dif needs of our munis/why it's dumb to start amalgating Vic+Saanich vs Vic + other central munis.
