FTR2 was the first event I hit after landing in the UK, and my first time at a club in years I was nervous to heck but some friends and even total strangers were a great help in getting me comfortable. Been to every one since 🎉

Furry needs more, smaller events. Not just cons. Arts markets, one-off dance nights, pub nights, BBQs in the park and beach trips. Don't get too focused on the big giant conventions when there's a thriving community all around you! (And if there isn't, build one!)
Show PostAbsolutely this Huge shoutout to the organisers of @furtherecord.bsky.social for being my entry to social spaces in the fandom, as well as cultivating a fantastic vibe and showcasing some brilliant local talent Outside of formally organised events, if you have a crew just get together and Go Out!
