I struggle with ‘serious’ shows that only cast beautiful people. It feels unrealistic. West Wing had Sam and Charlie, both fine looking chaps, but everyone else was normal looking. I will accept, however, that Alison Janney transcends conventional aesthetic judgements and she could be my Queen.

Paradise was good, did you see that? Appropriate levels of Sorkin-like dialogue, well paced plot, expansive world building. And For All Mankind was excellent, if a little ponderous.
