My main contribution to the gendered jobs discourse is that the nurse who was caring for my father when he died was a former NCAA lineman whom dad loved because he could carry him around the house. He made way more money than an assembly line worker at Tesla does.

I don't follow how this is an argument for voting against the tax. If Prop 40 loses 49-51 then billionaires would decide "oh, ok, people love us now so no worries about them wanting to tax us in the future"?

It’s great he’s doing the right thing now, and so disheartening that he spent so much time doing what he knew was wrong, just trying to keep his job. Many such cases, in fact. Free advice: quit any job that demands you to act contrary to your morality.

"Boycott" implies that this is a political action against the US. The Trump administration's policy is that they don't want foreigners here, they've implemented visa policies and a (very violent) policing agency to that effect, and it seems to be working. www.thedailybeast.com/tourists-boy...
