ACL sustainable reviewing policy is live! aclrollingreview.org/sustainable-... This was an incredible amount of work by incredible people in & outside of peer review committee. As any policy, it has compromises and will leave some unhappy. But it'll help to not repeat the disaster of EMNLP'26.

grad-school me was always curious about the behind-the-scenes 🫣 i learned some from social media, chats, & volunteering at confs. love seeing it laid out transparently. ACL venues are my home base (lang/discourse ♥️) and i’ve met many wonderful people there 🤗 🛎️ here’s to making them better & better

Could not be prouder of @zeerak.bsky.social for this accomplishment: from first paper ever (based on an MSc thesis) to 10-year ToT award. We could not have anticipated the lasting impact of this paper, but it's a great honor – and a wonderful story for any student/advisor team (see Zee's thread).
