I'll join the chorus of people weighing in: doing both this and Evangelion in the same expansion was definitely a misstep. I play FF14 for FF14, taking both of these where there could have been original content isn't good. Putting a lot of weight on MSQ to land and carry everything on its own.

Arcadion is going to leave some *real* big shoes to fill, and as much as I do like some crossovers (Ivalice) I can't imagine this hitting with the creativity and passion that Arcadion delivered. A little disappointing that crossovers are taking such a central role these days.

I’m a big FFVII fan. But to be honest I would rather have some original lore in Alliance Raids. I already have to forgo a lot of lore content because it’s not accessible to a casual gamer like me but I do all the raids at least once. But I’m sure I will enjoy this too.

Ngl it's hard to get excited for either raid series when they're both going to be collab questlines for the entire duration of Evercold. I do not like this trend of replacing 14 original content with an expansion long commercial for a brand everyone playing 14 already knew about.

I think having both the alliance raids and 8 man raids be crossovers might not be very fun for those who enjoy original content
