Charles Hay and Son Ltd. Established in 1789, the year of the French Revolution (no comparisons intended.) One of the few surviving barge building and repair workshops on the Thames at Rotherhithe, near Cumberland Wharf. The sun’s rising behind it on a crisp clear morning, this is a foreshore view.
