When I think back to some of the bands we booked in high school and university, I can't help but be reminded of Dave Grohl's comments about talent shows in his Anderson Cooper interview 10+ years ago - basically a bunch of dorks banging on instruments with barely any idea what they were doing.

Related - I'm really happy that I got to see some of my bucket list bands like Muse and the Offspring at music festivals rather than in massive, overcrowded arenas - there's only a few I can think of where the vibe of such a vast crowd is actually part of the fun. Small local venues ftw.
