A yes that’s part of the fun. The core algorithm is written to never result in -0 (0xffff) but rather +0 (0x0000), *however* specifically for UDP there are special cases in that 0x0000 is never sent on the wire because that means ”no checksum”, and it is supposed to be sent as 0xffff 😂

That’s part of what gives this some entertainment, so there is a section on it. BTW — Opus seems to be pretty hungover today, mine managed to even forget how to use the tool to reply (!!!), something not even a 27B Qwen would do.
