Calling Trump’s voters (or Reform UK) “morons” isn’t just bad language with a hateful history, it’s bad politics. The more you insult your opponent’s supporters, the more they dig in and insult you back. It feeds the view that we’re elitists who don’t understand the realities of their lives.
