I like an extra day of rest for Messick (though I don’t like back-to-back bullpen games), and pen game on road, down 3-2, v Peralta, feels like worst possible situation. I don‘t like losing tomorrow‘s day off, to rest pen. Wish they’d played last night. You surprised TB isn’t going Rasmussen today?

I filled out the survey and an a @fangraphs.com member. One crosstab that I'd be interested in from a survey like this, would be: AL only, NL only, mixed. Number of teams: 8, 10, 12, 15, more. And draft vs auction. Thanks

If we win G4, I go to Messick G5 to try to finish things, knowing if you lose, you get a crack in G6 and have Williams for G7. If we lose G4, I think I hold Messick back to have the two best pitchers lined up for G6 and G7 in Tampa. I don’t want to be down 3-2 and looking at a bullpen game for G6.

Feels like saving Gavin for game 7 is the way to go. Worst case scenario you get your best guy on regular rest for an elimination game. Best case scenario you have your best guy keyed up to open the World Series.
