There's no one right way but something that I think helps, particularly in cases where you're describing multiple characters, is consistency with what you are describing. In this case you described the transmasc's outfit but not the transfem's; you highlighted her size and beard instead.

The trans man certainly doesn’t look early transition to me, he’s muscular and broad shouldered and while we see his tape his breasts aren’t prominent at all while the trans woman has a beard and no feminine curves, even though fat redistribution is one of the earliest changes of estrogen
