To be fair to the Society of Authors, it is not the first author's organization in recent memory to step on its own dick about "AI," nor is it likely to be the last. It is interesting to note the boardroom-level disconnect with the constituency in each case so far, re: "AI" use, however.

Someone quietly approached me one of the first weeks the beer garden was open and said that the chairs we had were not friendly for larger bodies. I will admit I was surprised, but my reaction was, thank you so much for telling me, and I literally ordered more chairs that day. It's not hard.

And before you start bloviating that restaurants shouldn’t have to make special exceptions for a small number of people educate yourself that ONE QUARTER of the US population is disabled.
