I don’t understand why farmers need an endless series of welfare payments from the rest of us since Trump took office. Aren’t his policies working for you? You need us to pay you so you will keep voting for the guy who is failing you? Don’t you believe in free market capitalism?

Probably a lot. The problem is that Trump still draws in a lot of voters just because he’s entertainment for a not insignificant subset of people. No one else plays that role in their party and they know that.
