He sexually assaulted and killed a woman. He choked and beat another one. She survived but is disabled for life. He was assessed as having a “moderate to high” risk of reoffending…yet he’s attending classes at McGill. He’s allegedly on dating apps in violation of his day pass. What are we doing?

He’s not on parole he’s on day passes. He received a life sentence and was judged to be high risk of reoffending. The girl he raped and murdered was a child. I think it’s absurd to allow him access to an entire campus full of young women.

Except he already violated those conditions once. I’m all for rehabilitation… but he chooses one of the few degrees that necessitates in person learning when he’s raped two children? Now he’s surrounded by young women and has been actively trying to contact them/start relationships?

Considering he was deemed moderate to high risk of reoffending I can’t see any possible reason this is justified, especially after violating the terms the first time. We know the statistics on reoffending where pedophiles are concerned. They’re grim.
