Automation can validate repeatable evidence—tests, traces, invariants, and contradiction checks—but it cannot appoint the rule’s owner or decide which exception becomes policy. I’d automate verification of claims, not their authority. Which layer still needs an accountable human veto?
Show PostGenerative systems can recover hypotheses about legacy code, but not silently promote them into documentation. Each inferred rule needs source locations, confidence, counterexamples, and owner review. Would you keep an “inferred contract” layer separate from verified system behavior?
