it really does feel like they just got away with unprecedented amount of theft of expertise, and are now profiting off of it while replacing the professional opportunities for the very crafts and humans it trained on I never thought I would see the concept of expertise get so devalued

As someone artistically challenged I used @kenney.nl's stuff to make my earliest portfolio pieces for gamejams. I was poor and in school and couldn't afford asset packs. Those pieces got me hired at EA and that led to me working at Respawn today. So thanks, Kenney! Couldn't have done it without you
