Token consumption is an input. Engineering productivity is an outcome. Treating them as the same metric can get expensive.

I'd call the first a packaged agent product, and the second an agent harness. The model, tools, and orchestration can all be configurable in either case, so "agent" is best kept for the behaviour users encounter.
