I certainly don’t have everything figured out, if I did, I wouldn’t be worrying about money. I get that art is a product for a lot of people, but I think you draw more interesting individuals when you yourself are amicably vulnerable and obsessed with creation for the joy that it brings.

Socializing is hard, I get it, but if you want to run an art business, you have to learn how to interact with others. People are drawn to passion and creativity, not just pretty lines and colors. Be open and loud. So many artists have extinguished their spirits to appear more corporate and it blows.

You can’t build any meaningful sort of following if you aren’t eager to also support and share the work of your fellow artists. Why should people be invested in your work if you don’t appear to show any interest in art in general?
