As far as I can tell, literally every article on this quotes the same "expert" — a former estranged father who has an entire blog dedicated to absolving parents of any responsibility. He also sells $995 "consultations" where he will blame your kids for cutting you off.

Well, it's taken seven months to get comfortable with the idea, but my wife is now okay with me saying this on social media. We're expecting a baby girl this December. I'm going to be a father. Expect some content on babies and fatherhood moving forward from time to time.
