They're not trying to make the government more efficient. They're trying to break the government so they can enrich themselves. Scott Walker did this in Wisconsin in 2011 with his union-busting "budget repair bill," which had nothing to do with budget repair. Same con every time.

A MA resident was being harassed by debt collectors for a $9k debt from a closed, unauthorized account at an address he never lived at. My office stepped in & worked with credit agencies to remove the inaccurate info - because that's what's possible when government works to HELP rather than harm.

Tonight at sundown begins Yom Hashoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day. Millions were murdered by a fascist regime that turned unfettered hatred into policy. That is history we are obligated to carry forward: to understand, reckon with, and refuse to repeat.
