Yes, there were also the Ahad Ha'am's of the movement & a few binationalists, but the "victorious" stream of Zionism is the 1 noted above in the excerpt - & it's the 1 that in its actualization has caused decades of destruction to the Palestinian ppl. Seems weird to arg that Zionism isn't colonial.

The fact that we're still stuck having these circular arguments about "well can it be colonial if Jews have connections to the land?" is so exhausting and beside the point of you actually read many how pre-1948 Zionists saw the project they were carrying out as colonial in nature.

Wondering how much, if anything, would change if every left-leaning Jewish person in North America actually had to read what early Zionist thinkers themselves wrote. This is not a "gotcha" but a genuine question bc the below is very indicative to me of colonial intent, but many Jews still deny this.
