Another Horror story that I love that plays on the distortion of women's bodies and how the exploitative will of men is made manifest in them is Junji Ito's Tomie. Hell, the comic I'm writing now is pretty much about that, the difference being is that it's from the woman's subjectivity.

I liked the movie a lot! But I think you do have to reckon with the fact that the sequences of terror in the movie emanate from the body of a woman. The movie plays on fears of emotionally volatile women just as much as ot plays on fears of rapaciously exploitative men.
