IT MADE ME CRY! The contrast makes me want to weep. The depths of the fallen four at the beginning and then as time forms a flat circle and he returns to Normandy with yet another three, and they stay in the barn, and he is changed, and there is no fear, and they *know* each other.

And he calls her "Little Moon". The contrast!!! I think my other absolute favorite part was when the angels plunged into the lake with a demon, but three angels emerged. [Fist pumping into the air] GOSH my Hyperphantasia went absolutely wild with that scene. And the river monster.

This book was not a very easy read for me either. The content is so dark, but damn does that contrast just pay off so well. Thank you for recommending it to me!
