Grievance politics has been a part of the Alberta scene since William "Bible Bill" Aberhart, Ernest Manning, Loughheed, and then Preston Manning. I'm not sure that things will change until the oil economy ends and there been successive progressive political parties in power.

This is so true. Hell, I don't know by heart which decisions that effect my daily life are made by Ottawa or BC 😬 But I'd learn in a hurry if a BC separation movement full of Ostrich farmers and FB news believer kooks and cranks gained a foothold here.
