Today we celebrate 40 year of Humanities Computing and Computational Linguistics in Groningen! @gronlp.bsky.social We started in 1986 with Alfa-Informatika and in 1993 John Nerbonne had the chair in Humanities Computing (first in the world?!). #NLProc #DigitalHumanities

This morning I started our Machine Learning course for the university-wide minor in AI @rug.nl The minor welcomes all students excluding very few programs. This means: assume zero coding skills and math background. A four-hour lecture, we all survived, students left smiling @gronlp.bsky.social
