If you claim to love someone who collects toys or watches cartoons or does something else "for kids" but want them to grow up and change the "childish" behavior/hobbies/interests you don't really love them, you love an idea of them, a version of them you've created and decided is better.

i always found myself someone like that😔. took me years to notice these kind of people dont love you, they love to feel they are better/ more mature. they keep you around because it makes them feel less like a failure( on their own sad limited perception of being human)
