To deliver better streets - and safe routes for Ken and the rest of us - we need to work together to reduce the detrimental impact of motor vehicles. Framing this situation as a fight for the few scraps of car free space is futile, divisive, and simply wrong.

Most people would prefer to cycle on the road or cycle paths. The problem is that: - across most of the UK, roads are full of fast moving and often dangerously driven cars and trucks, - there are few cycle paths and too often they are incomplete, dangerously substandard, or blocked by parked cars.
