A good chunk of the SP500 is built on extractive practices that relied on the fact that coding was specialized with very few people having the time/enertgy to build workarounds to abusive software practices. Now, that might be coming to an end as coding and software is democratized.

It's why I don't necessarily buy all the arguments that AI inherently favors big corporations. It's too much of a force multiplier and there are so many unforeseen uses like this that disrupt corporate power. Doesn't minimize the harms at all but it means no one can predict exactly how this ends.
