+1. A lot of the construction of risk has to do with underlying priors about existential and catastrophic risk more so than the particularities of a given technology. That doesn’t mean the view is invalid; but it does imply one should interrogate those assumptions.

One of the deputy fire marshals is dedicated to bringing cursed food into the office. Today’s entry: chicken & waffles Oreo. VERDICT: salty maple flavor, far from the worst thing they’ve brought in and I’ve put in my mouth.

Poland would take them. I made the point at a conference In Poland that they would be a lucrative target for preemption and could invite attack. I was not invited back the next year. 😏
