If this incredible book was still in print, or even if second-hand copies were possible to find without paying $/£ hundreds, I would urge you to go buy it now now NOW. I have this PDF as a pale shadow of a replacement for the hardbound copy I used to own. I cannot imagine reading LOTR without it.
